There are over 3,000 miles of public footpaths in the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty ("AONB"), the largest such region in the country. Walking is one of the best ways to appreciate and enjoy the distinctive character of the Cotswolds. Many such walks start around Bourton-on-the-Hill (the Heart of England Way is only metres away from the cottage and public footpaths run through the village).
